Geography at Loughborough achieves success in recent National Student Survey

In the latest results from the 2022 National Student Survey (NSS), Geography and Environment at Loughborough University has been ranked 1st in the UK for overall satisfaction in the category ‘physical geographical sciences’ and 3rd in the category ‘human geography’.

These outstanding results demonstrate the strength of the BA and BSc programmes in Geography and Environment, which all feed into both of the above categories in the NSS.

Nearly half a million students across the UK are invited to take part in the National Student Survey every year. The NSS provides students the opportunity to give honest feedback about what it has been like to study their course at university or college and is a rich and influential source of information about higher education.

Dr James Esson, Undergraduate Programme Director in Geography and Environment, shared that “This is an outstanding achievement made possible by the efforts of all members of our geography community here at Loughborough University. The latest NSS results reflect our commitment to ensuring that every student benefits from high-quality, research-informed teaching and the very best learning experience. To be ranked at the very top is all the more impressive given the exceptional quality of undergraduate geography programmes in the UK.’’
