Harvey is a PhD researcher based in the Online Civic Culture Centre researching how the effects of class on social cognition affect the way we use and interact with social media, with a particular focus on online political behaviours. He graduated with a BA Politics from the University of Leeds and an MSc in Social Psychology from the University of Edinburgh. 

Harvey is a political psychologist interested in the psychology of class, the effect of individual differences on political behaviours, and the philosophy of science. In that vein, his previous work has explored how individual differences - particularly Authoritarianism - affect political participation.
