Our research informs our teaching. Students are taught by world-renowned experts in their field at a university that is ranked Gold for its teaching quality (TEF 2017). All staff are committed to ensuring a high-quality student experience and our programmes are regularly rated top five in national league tables.
We offer undergraduate courses: Media and Communication; Psychology with Communication; Sociology and Media. We also offer a range of MA programmes: Media and Cultural Analysis; Global Media and Cultural Industries; Social Media and Political Communication; Strategic Communication.
Our students are actively encouraged to pursue lines of enquiry that reflect their intellectual interests in communication and media. Each undergraduate and postgraduate programme provides a thorough grounding in the social scientific analysis of media and communication. This enables students to develop the skills of critical thinking and analysis that are in high demand across a wide range of vocations.
Our programmes are ideal for critical and reflective students who want to make sense of media power and influence in today’s complex and fast-changing world.
