Celebrating 10 years in the QS global top 100 for Communication and Media Studies

Loughborough has been ranked in the top 100 worldwide universities and 9th in the UK for Communication and Media Studies by the global QS higher education league table. 2023 marks the tenth consecutive year Communication and Media Studies has appeared in the top 100.

The QS ranking is based on surveying academic staff that declare a speciality in the subject area, and employers who recruit graduates that specialise in the discipline. It also takes into account research output and impact, with both citations and paper output measured over a five-year period.

Head of Communication and Media Professor David Deacon commented: “we are delighted to be recognised for our outstanding reputation for communication and media for the tenth year in a row. Our recognition in these rankings is testament to our academic staff who are committed to providing a high-quality student experience.”
