Wellington Murphy - Ceramic Flowers

Wellington Murphy is a bespoke ceramic floral arrangement service. Our custom design service allows for an abundance of colours, finishes and sizes; perfect for the home, as wedding decorations, and as the perfect special gift.
By utilising the fascinating translucent qualities of porcelain clay, I have transformed the piece from an ordinary sculpture into a functional light installation. I have designed the piece to attract any observer, drawn in by the beauty and light emanating from the centre.
Influenced by the relief sculpture of the renaissance, I have produced a wall mounted piece that appears to emerge from the wall in a new and innovative way. The dome would be perfectly placed within hotels and wedding venues as a permanent installation or centrepiece. The glazed finish of each dome of flowers can be altered to fit the clients preferences. The permanence of the ceramic flowers will act as a symbol of a love that will not die.
