The Philanthropy team raise charitable donations from alumni and friends of the University to support and advance our current strategy, Creating Better Futures. Together.

Working closely with the alumni team, we drive forward the University’s philanthropic priorities with support from individuals (alumni and friends of the University, including donations left in Wills as bequests), charitable trusts and foundations, and companies.

Our philanthropic priorities are guided by our three strategic themes, Vibrant and Inclusive Communities, Sport Health and Wellbeing, and Climate Change and Net Zero:

Access to Education - scholarships and widening participation activities
Student and Graduate Enterprise
PhDs and research

We work with a variety of key partners and currently contribute around £2m annually to the University’s total income. If you are looking to approach any charitable organisation or trust and foundation for funding, then please get in touch and we can advise what support we are able to offer.
