Philanthropy (sourcing of charitable donations to Loughborough University) contributes to the ‘Building Capacity and Influence’ objective in the University’s Building Excellence strategy.
The Philanthropy team focuses on raising funds from individuals (alumni and other contacts of the University), charitable trusts and foundations and companies in support of the University’s priorities. This includes donations left in Wills as bequests.
We work with a variety of key partners and currently contribute around £3m annually to the University’s total income. If you are looking to approach any charitable organisation for funding, then please get in touch and we can advise what support we are able to offer.
We are tasked with raising money for University priorities agreed by the University’s Operations Committee:
- Access to education - e.g. scholarships and widening participation activities
- Health and wellbeing research
- Student experience – e.g. enterprise activities, capital projects such as Loughborough Students’ Union and ArtsLab
