Benefits of sharing a bathroom
At Loughborough University, our en-suite rooms are very popular and get booked up quickly. Because of this, you may want to consider the benefits of sharing bathroom facilities
En-suite rooms are always popular, but sharing a bathroom can be a great choice too. Not only is it cost-effective, it also comes with added benefits such as regular cleaning, included essentials, and the opportunity to get to know your fellow students and settle into hall life
- Bathrooms are cleaned at least three times per week by our housekeeping team, ensuring they remain clean and hygienic (in Unite halls, bathrooms are cleaned once a week).
- Toilet roll and soap are topped up regularly – that’s one less thing to budget for.
- You won’t usually need to queue for the bathroom - accommodation is split by different courses, so everyone is on different schedules.
- And remember, the people you’re sharing with are only strangers for the first 24 hours – after that, they’re your friends.
Food for thought: a standard catered room in The Village costs less than a self-catered en-suite room. That’s a whole year of meals included, for the difference in price of an en-suite.
