IAS Summit: Rethinking Urban Inequalities
Independent Researcher and Artist
Namrata Narendra is an independent urban researcher and artist whose work focuses on just urban and peri-urban futures, collective climate action, and the impacts of climate and urbanisation on infrastructure through community-driven research and feminist arts-based approaches.
Her current projects explore the impact of mega-urban infrastructures on peri-urban livelihoods, and the gendered outcomes of climate adaptation plans in cities. She has a background in architecture and urban studies. She uses mixed media like film, drawing, poetry and theatre to bridge research and everyday life.
During their IAS Fellowship Namrata will be collaborating with Professor Trivik Verma from the Department of Geography and Environment.
