What are the discriminatory outcomes you are trying to address through positive action?

Question 1

Do you have reason to believe that something the University is doing is leading to discriminatory outcomes occurring to people with shared protected characteristics?

E.g., A University identifies disproportionately low numbers of Pakistani and Bangladeshi women studying at their institution and, for those who are, poor employment outcomes on finishing their degree. They are also aware of research which indicates several obstacles to access to higher education and graduate level employment.

Examples of discriminatory outcomes could be:

  • Experiencing disadvantage
  • Participation in an activity is disproportionately low
  • Having different and unmet needs to those not sharing protected characteristics
