Professor Ian Hodgkinson, Deputy Director of the Centre for Service Management, was the invited keynote speaker at the 2nd Fórum de Gestão e Economia da UTFPR, Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná, Brazil. The talk, entitled “Public managers' cognition and decision-making approaches: Is there only one way?”, provoked some excellent questions and debate from the audience.

Ian also ran a workshop for Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná staff and students on ‘Accelerating your academic career and publishing in top journals’.

The visit to Brazil was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen ongoing collaborative research links with recent SBE graduate Dr Higor Leite, Associate Professor at Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná and affiliate member of CSM.

Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná is a top 10 University in the national ranking and 49^th in the Times Higher Education: Latin America ranking.
