Undergraduate study
We have a thriving community of approximately 600 undergraduate students who come from a wide range of backgrounds.
Our Department is one of very few that brings together the excitement and challenge of both aeronautical and automotive engineering. Our reputation for excellent teaching is built on a long and successful history, as we have been delivering specialist Automotive Engineering courses since 1919 and Aeronautical courses since 1935.
The Department’s courses and graduates have been very highly rated in many assessments over the years, and in the Guardian University Guide 2011, we were ranked 5th in the UK.
