Abbie Donnelly

Abbie graduated with a BA(Hons) in History at Loughborough University in 2019. Her PhD engages with debates about the impact of empire on British popular culture, undertaking geographically-specific research into Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire. Thematic analysis includes study of popular entertainments, exhibitions, museums, military culture, and local politics and economics. Abbie’s research is funded by Loughborough Athletics Sport, and she is undertaking her PhD part-time alongside a competitive training and racing schedule.
