Professor of Human Geography Kate Gough has received ESRC funding (via the Newton RCUK-Colciencias Research Partnership Call) for a project entitled ‘Territorial planning for peace and statebuilding in the Alto Cauca region of Colombia’.
The funding provides a value of £663,555 which is divided between Loughborough University (£457,332) and the Universite del Valle (£206,223), who receive their funding from Colciencias.
The team here at Loughborough University includes Politics and International Relations Lecturer, Dr Giulia Piccolino and Dr Carolina Escobar-Tello, a lecturer in industrial and product design.
