Featuring writing prompts from the fascinating to the downright daft, as well as top-quality refreshments, each workshop is two hours of creativity and amusement.

- Prof Mike Wilson will be in conversation with Martin Edwards, Crime Fiction author, on Monday 17th February at 7.00pm in the Stanley Evernden Studio. Martin is President of the Detection Club , Chair of the Crime Writer’s Assn and Editor of the British Library’s Crime Classics series.
- Crime Writing Book Club will be discussing ‘The Ghost Riders of Ordebec’ by Fred Vargas on Wednesday 26th February at 5pm in the Martin Hall Breakout space.
- Dr Oli Tearle and other guest academics bring their knowledge and expertise to the ‘School of Poetry’ podcast. This podcast is dedicated to discussing and analysing the good – and the not so good – within the world of poetry. All episodes can be found here - http://school-of-poetry.buzzsprout.com/.
- Dr Joan Fitzpatrick has written an article where she reveals how our ancestors may have exercised in the 16th century. The article can be found here - https://www.lboro.ac.uk/subjects/english/news-events/news/2019/exercise-16-century-joan-fitzpatrick/
