Li Yan is now a PhD student supervised by Dr Adrian Leguina and Dr Michael Skey.  Before studying in Loughborough, Li majored in Statistics and acquired her BSc and MSc degree at Shandong University of Finance and Economics, China in 2017 and 2019. In 2020, she received her MSc in Social Science Research (Communication and Media) at Loughborough University. 

Li's research focuses on investigating the formation and role of trust in the sharing economy in China. Li is familiar with statistical techniques and scraping secondary big data from websites. She is interested in combining qualitative and quantitative methods in her research.
