Communication & Media student awarded prizes at Graduation

Rafael Baptista Brilha Oliveira presented with the prizes by Professor David Deacon

Last week, our 2023 BSc Media and Communication cohort graduated and enjoyed a brilliant day on campus celebrating with friends, family, and staff members from our School.

During the day, two prizes were awarded to Rafael Baptista Brilha Oliveira, the student that excelled during their time studying our Bsc Media and Communication programme.

Awarded annually to the student achieving the highest mark in the dissertation module. The Professor Albert Cherns Memorial Prize takes the form of a certificate and a £50 Amazon voucher. Professor Cherns was the founding Head of the Department of Social Sciences at Loughborough University and the prizes are presented each year at a reception held for graduates and their guests following the summer degree ceremony.

The School of Social Sciences and Humanities Community Prize is a prize to the value of £50 to a Part C communication and media student who is judged to have made an exceptional extra-curricular contribution to the discipline, School, University or wider community.
