Mathematics Learning Support Centre (MLSC)
We offer free one-to-one drop-in help and bookable online help and resources for students of all disciplines who wish to improve their knowledge of mathematics or statistics. We also provide study space in the Schofield Building.
A Statistics Advisory Service is available for postgraduate and final-year undergraduate project students.
Improving your mathematics skills before you arrive
To help you prepare for study, we have developed online mathematics training so that you can review and practise your current mathematics skills and develop the confidence that you are ready to tackle the mathematics that you will meet on your degree programme. You can access the programme online.
Mathematics support
We offer free mathematics support for all students delivered by our experienced mathematics tutors. This is available both in-person and remotely.
For our in-person service you do not need to make an appointment. Simply visit the Centre during term time during 11am-1pm or 2-4pm for drop-in support.
We also offer remote one-to-one support. Tutors are available Monday to Friday from 11am-1pm and 2-4pm.
Statistics support
Free statistics support is available at our Mathematics Learning Support Centre in the Schofield Building and remotely. One-to-one drop-in help is offered by experienced statistics tutors.
Final year project students and postgraduate students might wish to use the Statistics Advisory Service, which offers bookable half-hour appointments.
