You will receive regular statements from the University’s Finance team, which will include the deadlines for any charges you need to pay.

Details on the ways in which you can pay your fees are available on the Finance Office’s website.

When you pay online you will receive an email receipt. Your payment will also show on your statements. If you need any further confirmation, please contact the Finance Office.

If you are unable to pay your fees by the deadline given in your statements you should contact the Finance Office to discuss options. It may be possible to support you through setting up a regular payment plan. Financial Advice can also be accessed via the Student Advice Service.

Under University Regulation XVI, if you take Leave of Absence of withdraw from your programme, you will be charged fees on a pro rata basis.

If you are receiving a studentship with a monthly stipend it will be paid on the final Tuesday of every month.

You can update your bank details by logging in to the Student Self Service portal.

Please do not send us details of your bank account via email.

Once your Doctoral Loan is approved by Student Finance, the University confirms your registration to release your loan. If you have had confirmation from Student Finance that your loan is approved, and you have completed registration, please contact the Doctoral College Office.

If you are in financial difficulty you should contact Student Advice who can assist and ensure you have applied for all the financial support available to you.

You can download a letter from Student Self-Service as evidence of your status as a student to open a bank account.
