Student parcels
The Mailroom manages all incoming and outgoing mail and parcels to the Loughborough campus, with a particular focus on student parcels. All parcel deliveries are managed via into our Parcel Tracker system.
You must ensure that all of your parcels are correctly addressed including your first, last and preferred name, your full hall address including room number and postcode and your student ID number.
Parcels without a student ID number as part of the address take longer to match to you and could result in being sent back to the sender. Please always add you student ID number into your address when ordering things.
After the courier has dropped off your parcel with us, we will process it into our secure storage and you will receive an automated email from no-reply@getparceltracker.com advising you of how to collect your parcel.
This email includes a QR code, parcels connot be collected without this code.
In the event you do not receive your emails, please check your Junk Folder.
Please do not come to collect your parcel until you have received the Parcel Tracker email from us.
All student envelope mail is sent direct to Hall Receptions.
At the start of term, deliveries for UniKitOut, LoveSpace and UniWiz are delivered direct to your hall where possible. Please get in touch if yours has not arrived.
Student Parcel Retention Policy
Our Mailroom does not have the space to store parcels indefinitely.
Parcels are therefore held within our space for 14 days only.
Reasonable steps are taken to match parcels to students through three email reminders that their parcels are here. Students are given plenty of time to arrange for collection within that timescale.
Only in exceptional circumstances will we arrange to hold parcels for longer than the 14 days. Please contact us to discuss this service if you feel it is needed.
All abandoned parcels, after the 14 day period, are either returned to sender, disposed of or donated to charities connected to the University.
(This Policy has been approved by an independent legal firm who confirm it complies with the Theft Act 1968 and Postal Services Act 2000)
