How to apply

Everything you need to know about applying for Art and Design Foundation Studies

Applications for the UAL Level 3 Diploma in Art and Design Foundation Studies course should be made online, directly to the University.

For full details of the entry requirements for this course, please see the online prospectus entry. Once you are confident that you meet the requirements for this course and are ready to make an application, you can do so via our online application portal below.

All foundation applicants who meet our entry requirements will be invited to submit a portfolio for assessment by a member of staff. There will also be opportunities to find out more about the course, chat to staff and current students and tour our facilities (physically and/or virtually.) At this point, you will also need to provide your GCSE and AS certificates for verification.

If your application and portfolio are successful then an offer will be made to you, subject to conditions (i.e. passing exams and meeting the entry criteria.)

Application deadlines

We encourage applications for 2024 entry to be submitted by 28 June 2024. Alternatively, you can also apply for the Foundation programme on or after A-Level Results Day (if you meet the entry requirements and want to take advantage of our undergraduate progression agreement.)

Applications made between these periods will be considered, however please contact Rebecca Turner (r.turner@lboro.ac.uk) to discuss in advance.
