Paul studied for an MSc in Information and Knowledge Management at Loughborough University until 2003, followed by a PhD (also at Loughborough) in Civil Engineering, receiving his doctorate in 2007.

Paul was shortlisted for a British Council Alumni Award in 2016 for Professional Achievement.

He works at the Central Bank of Nigeria where he has developed a hugely successful knowledge management strategy for the bank.
