Tim received a Distinguished Alumni Award in 2016 for his extraordinary achievement and innovation in the communications field.
Tim is the US-based Chief Executive of London-listed communications business Next 15 Group. He joined the Group in 1984 straight after graduating from Loughborough University and is one of the early pioneers of tech PR. He has worked on major corporate and product campaigns with such companies as Cisco, Microsoft, IBM, Sun and Intel.
Tim became the Next 15 Global CEO in 1992, overseeing the flotation of the company on the London Stock Exchange and has managed a string of successful acquisitions by the Group in recent years.
Next 15 Communications Group Plc employs 1,500 people across 42 offices in 15 countries, with 17 subsidiary agencies spanning PR, marketing, digital and public affairs. Next 15 represents many of the world’s biggest international brands including Google, Facebook, American Express, Microsoft, IBM and Unilever.
Tim moved from London to set up the Group’s first US business based in Seattle before opening offices in San Francisco in 1997.
Tim is also on the advisory boards of a number of emerging technology companies and became a board director in 2016 to Moravia. Tim has been named an ‘Emerging Power Player’ by PR Week US and is listed in its Power Book. In 2013, Tim was recognised on the Holmes Report's In2's Innovator 25 which recognises individuals who have contributed ideas that set the bar for the industry.
Tim was born in Tanzania in 1960. He is married to Julie Dyson and has three children – Hannah, Jack and Ella.
At Loughborough University he lived in Royce hall for his first two years. During his sandwich year he worked for the Royal Bank of Scotland.
