Public engagement

Sharing our research with the public - including school children and budding scientists - is an important part of what we do.

We launched our fully accessible, large-scale interactive exhibit at The Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition in July 2022.

It attracted more than 5,700 visitors from the across the UK and beyond - including more than 700 students and their teachers.

In September 2022, we were selected to be part of the British Science Festival - hosted by De Montfort University - and showcased our innovative research at Cheltenham Science Festival in June 2023.

Our engagement partners

We are very grateful to local schools De Lisle and Limehurst as well as our research partners with whom we road tested our ideas before developing our interactive exhibit.
