Professor Ana Zermeño is an outstanding Mexican scholar recognized for her contributions to digital culture studies and research on information and communication for social change.

She specializes in youth research, exploring the capabilities, aspirations, skills, and life trajectories of young individuals. Additionally, she is interested in the field of epistemic injustice and knowledge inequalities. Furthermore, Professor Zermeno coordinates an international research network on digital culture and human development.

Her extensive research experience encompasses both quantitative and qualitative fieldwork amongst various populations. She has expertise in participatory action research and qualitative analysis. 

During their IAS Fellowship, Professor Zermeño is collaborating with Professor Thomes Tufte from the Institute for Media and Creative Industries at Loughborough University London.
