Dr Richard Hodgkins

Programme Leader & Reader in Climate Futures

Richard is a Reader in Climate Futures with over 20 years’ teaching experience, and has published over 40 peer-reviewed papers on aspects of both Arctic and Antarctic environments.

Dr Kate Mathers

UKRI Future Leaders Fellow

Kate is a freshwater scientist whose research sits on the interface of aquatic ecology, hydrology and fluvial geomorphology. Her teaching explores aquatic ecology and sedimentology.

Dr Guy Tallentire

University Teacher in Geographical Information Systems

Guy teaches broadly across physical geography, in particular modules that include Geographical Information Systems and remote sensing. His current research is focussed on the Arctic, a region which is warming up to six times faster than anywhere else on the planet.

Dr John Hillier

Reader in Natural Hazard Risks

John is a geologist and physical geographer who uses numerical methods to model both the physics and statistics of active and Quaternary Earth processes. His teaching is mainly in the area of natural hazards, risk and catastrophe modelling.

Professor Rob Wilby

Professor of Hydroclimatic Modelling

Rob's research is about the management of present and projected climate risks to freshwater environments and urban areas. His teaching examines the relationship between the climate system and society.

Professor Paul Wood

Professor of Ecohydrology and Physical Geography

Paul is an ecohydrologist with research interests in environmental flows. His teaching explores ecohydrology with a focus on river ecology, how communities respond to environmental change and the conservation and management of freshwater habitats.
