Academic Language Support Services
Whether you are an undergraduate, postgraduate taught or PhD student, we want to help you achieve your full academic potential. You can access resources, group and 1:1 support from the award-winning Academic Language Support Service.
You can:
- Enhance your writing and study skills with the Study Skills module.
- Develop your English language skills if English is not your first language.
- Boost your writing by accessing the Dissertation and Project Success module.
- Achieve success in your academic writing tasks for STEM subjects with the STEM Writing module.
Doctoral Researchers
We also run a series of workshops specifically designed for Doctoral Researchers. These include: a focus on the language and communication characteristics of advanced academic writing; academic writing skills and increasing awareness of tools and techniques for effective academic communication. These sessions can be booked via the Doctoral College Development Portal.
