Loughborough University offers physiotherapy services to staff who are injured in the workplace to support these individuals to return to work effectively as soon as possible. The offer of physiotherapy services is made without any admission of liability, fault or guilt on behalf of the University. Such services are provided supplementary to and following the treatment plan recommended by the member of staff’s treating specialist (whether an NHS or private clinical practitioner), which must be shared with the University. Staff are not required to use Loughborough University’s physiotherapy service as part of their treatment plan, but under this scheme the University is unable to pay for physiotherapy (or similar) services provided by any external provider.
We understand that visiting for the first time may be daunting, so we've put together a list of frequently asked questions to help prepare you for your appointment.
What can I expect
Respect you as an individual – and understand that the “one size fits all” approach is not appropriate when dealing with the unique elements of your body.
The clinic is open plan, however a number of private rooms are available, please let the team know if you would like added privacy.
What to wear
Loose, comfortable clothing (similar to what you would wear in the gym, or relaxing at home). Depending on your program, trainers may be required but most of the time will be done barefoot.
Use of the Rehab gym for the duration of your treatment. All staff are highly trained professionals.
Based in the Performance Centre (Building 96), above the Powerbase Gym. On the East side of Campus.
