The goal of my research is to make a positive impact on individuals with dementia by reducing their risk of falling through the implementation of a home-based dual-task exercise program that integrates technology.

“Rehabilitation following stroke comprises a significant societal and public health challenge. However, effective and successful rehabilitation programmes have the chance to decrease related morbidity, mortality, and secondary strokes.”

We know that cells use EVs to communicate and transfer biological information between cells. A better understanding of how these EVs function and exchange information could open up new targeted ways of treating debilitating conditions.

"I hope that my research can help people who have had serious injuries resulting in pain and reduced movement, especially those for whom other types of rehabilitation have not been effective."

My work will predominantly focus on furthering our understanding of how the activity of neurons connected to the knee muscles is affected by trauma and how these changes affect muscle function and strength-gaining capacity.
