Jacinthe Dion, Ph.D., is an adolescent clinical and developmental psychologist and full professor in the Department of Psychology at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. She holds the Tier 1 Canada Research Chair on Sexual Violence among Vulnerable Youth (Aquarelle) and is coholder of the VISAJ Research Chair on Youth Development and Health. She is a member of the executive committee of CRIPCAS (Interdisciplinary Research Center on Intimate Relationships and Sexual Abuse).

Professor Dion’s research examines risk and protective factors underlying youth psychological and sexual well-being, with a focus on abuse, body image, and romantic relationships.  Using longitudinal approaches, she also studies developmental trajectories and evaluates prevention initiatives that promote healthy development. She has led more than 20 funded research projects as principal investigator and has published over 140 scholarly articles in international peer-reviewed journals. Her research is grounded in collaborative and community-engaged approaches that inform policy and practice, recognizing and mobilizing the strengths of diverse partners and communities throughout the research process.

During their IAS Fellowship, Professor Dion will be collaborating with Dr Hannah White from the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences.
