IAS Spotlight: Body Image, Eating Problems & Health

Annie Aimé is professor of psychology and psychoeducation at the Université du Québec en Outaouais in Quebec, Canada. She co-founded Imavi, a clinic specialized in assessing and treating eating and weight problems. Her research interests focus on body image, weight bullying and appearance stigmatization, eating behaviors, eating disorders, weight, emotional well-being, and mental health.

She is involved in many international projects and often collaborates with public and nonprofit organizations aiming at improving body image as well as supporting body inclusivity and body diversity. In addition to her research, she works as a psychologist with adults and families and co-founded Imavi dealing with eating and weight concerns. She regularly offers conferences, training and clinical supervision. 

During their IAS Fellowship, Professor Annie Aimé will be collaborating with Dr Hannah White from the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences.
