PGR Workshop - Inclusion and exclusion as intersubjective experiences: Implications for Research

IAS Residential Fellow Professor Justin A. Haegele delivers a workshop for Postgraduate Researchers (PGRs) -

In this workshop, the applicant will share a developing understanding of inclusion and exclusion, as intersubjective experiences, and implications that these understandings can have broadly for disabled people in research. Inclusion and exclusion understood as an intersubjective experience is a contemporary conceptualization that extends concepts beyond those often narrow, parochial, and reductive conceptualizations which focus only on an individual’s existence within a space or activity by centring disabled people and their personal and individual experiences within those contexts.
