IAS Residential Fellow Dr Ashley Ajumoke Stewart delivers a workshop for Postgraduate Researchers (PGRs) -
This hands-on workshop for doctoral researchers introduces creative and speculative methods for working with archives, especially in visual communication, design history, and digital heritage. Participants will engage with short activities in critical visual analysis, typographic storytelling, and AI-based reinterpretation of archival images or texts. The session will also explore how practice-led research can inform both academic outputs and community engagement. Open to researchers from all disciplines, the workshop encourages thinking across boundaries—art, tech, and the humanities—to reimagine the role of archives in future-facing research.
