Where we identify a good fit between potential partners or candidates, we will provide expert support to develop your proposal.
SCAN delivers research in four key areas:
- Social sciences of sport – including Sport Management, Sociology of Sport, Economics, Policy and Politics
- Sport Science – including physiology, nutrition and health
- Sport Design and Technology
- Sport and the Environment – including Geography
We would be particularly happy to support postdoctoral researchers who wish to work in the broad field of sport, climate action and nature.
Potential funding streams
We would be happy to discuss any funding opportunities that enable early career researchers to collaborate with SCAN, including:
- Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship – deadline 11 September 2024
- Leverhulme Early Career Fellows – deadline February 2025
- Newton International Fellowships – deadline March 2025
