Loughborough town and the East Midlands region of England have strong cultural links with Pakistan, so it is not difficult for new students from your country to feel at home here.

There are around 30 Pakistani students studying with us on campus, at undergraduate, masters and PhD level.

For at least 60 years the University has been training excellent engineers from Pakistan who have returned home to advance their careers in various branches of industry, science, academia and business. Senior alumni recall their time at Loughborough with strong affection and praise the University for some of the very same characteristics that give it its strong reputation today. They praise the high quality of its teaching and the exceptionally good links with companies and the world of work. Indeed, Loughborough’s present-day undergraduates from Pakistan tend be especially enthusiastic about taking up the sandwich-year professional placements which form a part of most degree programmes here.

Research students such as those from Pakistan’s Universities of Engineering and Technology obtain supervision from leading specialists in their respective fields.
