Graduate Route (post study work) visa

In September 2019, the UK Government announced it would be reintroducing the two-year Graduate Route visa for international students, most commonly referred to as the Post Study Work Visa.

We have a long history of welcoming international students into the #LboroFamily and look forward to growing our vibrant and diverse community of students.

The visa is open to international students commencing their studies in the academic year 2020/21 in any recognised programme at an approved UK university. This applies to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes

This visa provides the opportunities to work or look for work for two years after graduating. Graduates will then be able to transfer to a skilled work visa if their employment matches the skill requirement of this route.

These changes mean that there will now be safeguards in place to ensure only genuine students are eligible. This development comes as the government is hoping to expand opportunities for talented overseas students to start successful careers here in the UK.

Loughborough University is one of the recognised institutions for the international post study work visa. We have a long history of welcoming international students and look forward to growing our vibrant and diverse community of students.

Ranked as number one in the UK for student-employer connections*, we see this as an exciting opportunity for those who wish to build their career here in the UK.
