The initiave has been run by the DPG for the two years and highlights each week a female physicist who works in Germany or a German woman in Physics who works outside of the country.
Professor Eberlein shared the news in a tweet: 'It is an honour to have been listed as #female #physicist of the week by the German Physical Society this week."
