Space scientist announced as special guest for the 2019 Claudia Parsons Memorial Lecture
Loughborough University is delighted to announce Dr Suzanne Imber will be speaking at this year’s Claudia Parsons Memorial Lecture. She will discuss her journey to becoming a space scientist, and how advances in the space industry will change our everyday lives.
STEMLab wins excellence award at S-Lab conference
Loughborough University’s STEMLab has been announced as a winner at the S-Lab Awards for Excellence in Laboratory Design, Management and Operation. Pro Vice-Chancellor for Teaching, Professor Rachel Thomson, collected the award for the building which opened in 2017. STEMLab won the Multi-Disciplinary Science Teaching and Research Buildings category.
Research paves the way for faster, more powerful and greener supercomputers
The next generation of supercomputers is a step closer, according to research led by Dr Niladri Banerjee, of Loughborough University's Department of Physics, Professor Mark Blamire of the University Cambridge and Professor Jacob Linder of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
