We are pleased to share the timetable for LGBT+ in STEM week, which takes place next week celebrating the LGBT+ community working and studying within STEM.

This UCU CPD Interactive Workshop is open to all staff (including non-UCU members).  The aims of the workshop include having a greater understanding of LGBT+ language in use, becoming more confident in the use of appropriate language and exploring how your professional practice could be improved by using supportive and inclusive language.

Wednesday 16th November: 'Queering the Curriculum' Panel Discussion and Q&A

Join Prof. Charlotte Croffie (Pro Vice-Chancellor for EDI), Dr Monia Del Pinto (University Teacher, ABCE), and Dr Emily Johnston (Lecturer, Sheffield Hallam University) as they speak about their research on gendered spaces (Monia) and public health prone to homophobia (Emily). This will be followed by a Q&A.  This event is for all staff.

Join Georgia Hales, Hannah Robinson and Zhe Zhan - Doctoral Researchers at the University of Leeds - as they present their research on challenges faced by the LGBT+ community and reflect on the barriers to engagement in research.
