Congratulations to Maths alumnus Nira Chamberlain who has been awarded an OBE for services to Mathematical Sciences, in the 2022 New Year Honours list.
Nira completed his MSc in Industrial Mathematical Modelling at Loughborough in 1993 and continues to have strong links with the Department of Mathematical Sciences.
In 2020 Nira became President of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA) and in October 2021, Nira, a Data Scientist at Holland and Barrett, was named on the Black Power List for the fifth year running.
