Mike Wedderburn

Mike played rugby for the Harlequins and Wasps. He played at international level through the age groups and represented the British and Irish Lions Students whilst studying at Loughborough. He was also a professional cricketer with Hampshire CCC.

Mike's broadcasting career is long and extensive. It began in 1991 as a Presenter at Channel 4. Since then he has worked at the BBC on such shows as Grandstand, Sportsnight and Rugby Special as well as their Olympic coverage. He presented ITV's international rugby, and he was lead commentator at the 1995 Rugby World Cup in South Africa for Eurosport. Since 1998 Mike has Presented for Sky Sports. His work there includes international cricket, three Cricket World Cups, international rugby, European Championship and World Cup Football plus a daily show on Sky Sports News.

Mike's documentary work includes 'America's Sporting Shame' and 'Lewis Hamilton: My Race'.

In 2019 Mike was shortlisted for the Presenter of the Year at the Sports Journalism Awards. In 2020 he was runner-up.

Mike has a BA(Hons) in English Literature and an MSc in Sports Science from Loughborough University.
