Christine Hodgson is Chair of Severn Trent Plc and Whitbread Plc, both FTSE100 companies.

Christine spent 22 years at Capgemini, where she was Chairman of the UK business, the Global Chief CSR Officer and a member of the Group Executive Committee.

Christine was the Senior Independent Director and Remuneration Committee Chair of Standard Chartered PLC before stepping down in January 2023 after 9 years.

Christine is an External Board Adviser for Spencer Stuart, Chair of Newton, a consultancy specialising in strategy delivery and operational efficiency and a Senior Adviser to True Capital.

Christine is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.

Christine was awarded a CBE for services to Education in January 2020. 

She is a Fellow of Business in the Community and a member of the King’s Seeing is Believing Council.

A graduate from Loughborough University in 1987, with a First-Class Honours in Accounting and Financial Management, she was awarded and Honorary Degree by the University in July 2019.
