Art Unlocked: Loughborough University Sculpture Collection
Book nowJoin Art UK and Loughborough University in exploring sculptures from our collection.
About the event
Art Unlocked is an online event series brought to you by Art UK in collaboration with Bloomberg Philanthropies. Each week, different museum and gallery curators and directors from across the UK deliver a 30-minute talk on selected works from their collection.
To coincide with Sculpture Week, David Bell (our Art Collection Curator) has been invited to deliver a talk. Learn how Loughborough University's sculpture collection tells a story about changing trends in British public art. We bring the collection to life for those who visit, live, study or work on our campus.
Art Unlocked is delivered over Zoom Webinar and can be accessed via the event page once you have registered. There will be a short Q&A session after the talk.
The talk is free but there is the option to donate to Loughborough University Sculpture Collection and all donations are greatly appreciated.
About Loughborough University Sculpture Collection
Loughborough University is home to over forty sculptures, sited across our campus. Works by internationally renowned figures such as Lynn Chadwick and Atta Kwami are joined by sculptures commissioned and purchased from students. A wide variety of materials and forms are represented, with sculptures speaking both to the institution’s history and changes to the social, political and economic contexts of public sculpture more broadly.
