Venue access

We are committed to making our events accessible to all. We have provided accessibility details below for the main spaces on campus that we use for our events / classes.

If you are attending an event and have specific access requirements which you would like to discuss then please email LUArts@lboro.ac.uk or telephone 01509 222948.

The Cope Auditorium, Martin Hall theatre and The Lounge (in the Students' Union) are situated on the ground floor of buildings which are fully accessible by wheelchair. LU Arts office is also located on the ground floor of Martin Hall and has an external door, which is accessible by a ramp.

The Cope Auditorium and Martin Hall theatre are both fitted with an induction loop.

Our creative writing evening classes take place in seminar room MHL0.07 on the ground floor of Martin Hall. Pottery and painting and drawing evening classes take place in the 3D Design Building (behind Edward Barnsley), which is on the ground floor and accessible by wheelchair. At the time of booking a place on one of our evening classes we ask that you inform us of any access issues so that we can update our evacuation plan accordingly.

Our music practice rooms in Martin Hall have step-free access. Our practice room in Edward Barnsley Building (to the rear of the Cope Auditorium) is only accessed externally via steps. If you require step-free access to this space, please email LUArts@lboro.ac.uk.
