Neil Reynolds

27 October 1951 - 1 March 2022

Neil died suddenly and unexpectedly on 1 March 2022. He studied LPEME at Loughborough from 1970 to 1973.

Living in Telford Hall, it was here that he met Dot Turner when she arrived to study Industrial Maths in 1972.

Married in 1976, when she graduated, they have two sons Chris and Peter and three grandsons Ethan, Connor and Max.

He spent most of his working life with HM Customs and Excise, first in Dover and later in VAT in Hertfordshire. 

Coming from New Romney in Kent, from a very young age he had an interest in steam trains, as he lived along-side the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway (RHDR). As a young teenager he worked at the RHDR as a car park attendant and worked his way up to train driver before he went to Loughborough, returning during the vacs to drive the trains.
