Douglas James Cosnett

Passed away peacefully at home in Ely on Friday 17th January 2020, aged 81 years. Much beloved husband, father and grandfather, a dedicated teacher and great conversationalist, Doug will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Funeral at The Arbory Trust, Barton Glebe Burial Ground Lodge, Barton (nearest postcode is CB23 7BN), on Thursday 13th February 2020, at 10.30am. Followed by refreshments at the Cambridge Hotel (formerly DoubleTree) on Mill Lane, Cambridge, CB2 1RT, to which all are welcome. Family flowers only, donations if desired to the British Heart Foundation may be left on the day, or sent c/o Ely Funeral Directors, 4 Tower Road, Ely, CB7 4HW.

Doug was originally from Pershore in Worcestershire, but used his Loughborough degree to really fly and he taught in many places including Bridgenorth, Basildon and Ely as well as spell in Kenya in the late 1960s.
