John Hutchinson
26 January 1931 – 16 January 2022
John did his 3rd year at Loughborough in 1953/4.
Whilst at Loughborough as a member of the College Mountaineering Club he took part in their 6 week expedition to Arctic Norway climbing previously unclimbed mountains on The Lyngen Peninsula. Whilst there they did a follow up survey of glacial movement undertaken previously by Nottingham University students.
He was appointed Design lecturer in 1963 and later promoted to Senior lecturer.
He was Resident Tutor at Soar House, Quorn in 1965-1973.
