Sociology at Loughborough University has once again achieved high results in the recently published National Student Survey 2019, being awarded an outstanding 100% overall satisfaction rate, making it 1st in the UK for Overall Satisfaction in Sociology.

Dr Thomas Thurnell-Read, Programme Director for Social and Policy Studies and Lecturer in Cultural Sociology, says: “We are delighted that Sociology at Loughborough University has been ranked first in the latest National Student Survey for overall student satisfaction. I believe this demonstrates we are delivering teaching of the very highest quality and that our students feel challenged by the intellectual rigour of our programme yet well supported and mentored by our team of passionate staff.”

The National Student Survey (NSS) is a survey completed by final year students across the country, where participants are required to provide honest feedback on their time at their higher education institution. It aims to provide prospective students with a genuine picture of what the student experience is like at each university, assisting them with making their decision-making.
