As the Academic Librarian for the department Sharon can help you with your literature review, referencing (including bibliographic software), academic skills and getting published. Please contact her for a face-to-face appointment.

Background

She gained her first degree in History at the University of Birmingham in 1985. After working variously in libraries, publishing and recruitment she completed a PGCE at Loughborough in 1993. She then worked as a primary school teacher for a number of years before gaining an MA in Information and Library Studies at Loughborough in 2003. Since then she has worked at the University Library. She has a Library-wide responsibility for supporting learning and teaching, am a member of the Library Marketing and Communications Group and run the Student Book Club. She is also a committee member of the Academic Libraries Research Group (ARLG) for the East Midlands.
