What Next For Brexit? By Lord Adonis

Lord Adonis is the Vice-Chairman of the European Movement. He will speak on "What Next For Brexit?"

Lord Adonis is a prominent opponent of Brexit and one of the leading figures in the campaign for a People's Vote on the government's deal for Britain's withdrawal from the European Union. An academic by profession, Lord Adonis was head of the No. 10 Downing Street Policy Unit from 2001 to 2005, during Tony Blair's Prime Ministership. He joined the House of Lords in 2005 as a Labour peer. From 2009 to 2010 he was Secretary of State for Transport. From 2015 to 2017 he was Chairman of the National Infrastructure Commission. Here is a link to Lord Adonis' webpage on the House of Lords' website: https://www.parliament.uk/biographies/lords/lord-adonis/3743

POLIS is delighted to be welcoming Lord Adonis to the university. The lecture will be a wonderfully timely one, falling, as it will, six days before a General Election dominated by the issue of Brexit.
