Our MSc Digital Marketing is aimed at providing students with a comprehensive understanding of digital technologies and principles of digital contemporary marketing practices, which will allow you to address associated challenges in the ever-changing business landscape.

Our Digital Marketing MSc programme offers you to build your knowledge and expertise of digital technologies through learning social media analysis, data processing, information management, gaming, search engine optimisation and artificial intelligence. This master's degree covers various elements of digital marketing practices to help you create successful marketing strategies and to build up on a foundation for strategic marketing management. You will also gain an overarching view of the context in which today’s consumers, businesses and societies operate, including the technological and social challenges faced by individuals operating within the marketing profession.
Successful candidates will graduate from this Digital Marketing programme with the key knowledge and skills required to enter a variety of roles of digital marketing professionals to fully understand the strategies and techniques of market research and analysis, strategic marketing, consumer engagement, marketing communication, and international marketing.

Collaborative Project
The aims of this module are to:
- Provide students with an opportunity to be exposed to project-based teamwork in diverse settings (understood in this context as involving a range of multidisciplinary, multicultural and demographic elements in differing configurations), aiming to strengthen their cooperative and collaborative working skills and competence, while raising awareness and appreciation of diversity itself.
- Provide students with hands on experience of identifying, framing and resolving practice oriented and real-world based challenges and problems, using creativity, critical enquiry and appropriate tools to achieve valuable and relevant solutions.
- Support the development of students' ability to engage in critical enquiry and individual reflection, as well as to apply individual strengths and skills, building on their own educational backgrounds.
- Provide students with opportunities for networking with stakeholders, organisations and corporations, aiming to enhance the competence and skills needed to connect to relevant parties and build up future professional opportunities
Digital Technologies for Market Analysis
The aims of this module are to:
- Familiarise students to the importance and practices of market research and analysis and equip them with skills to design, perform and present effective and creative market research projects powered by modern digital technologies.
Digital Practices for Customer Engagement
The aims of this module are to:
Familiarise students to techniques of understanding and engaging consumers/customers through emerging digital technologies and how the knowledge about the customers can be used to make better marketing decisions.

Gaming technologies & systems
The aims of this module are to:
introduce students to games technology concepts, basic game engine architectures and tools, fundamental theories and common practices in game software development, essential knowledge of game-related audio and image/video rendering and animation, key game content creation packages and their use in digital creative media design and development processes.
International Marketing
The module builds students' understanding of the principles of international marketing and provides an understanding of the key concepts and issues related to international marketing. This will enable students to develop their decision-making skills for the formulation, and implementation of international marketing plans.
Strategy and Planning
The aims of this module are to:
- Equip the students with knowledge, skills and competence to create a strategic vision and predict emerging trends to inform the business strategy
- Equip students with background knowledge of business planning and skills associated with running a business.
Compulsory modules
Dissertation
The aims of this module are to give the student the opportunity to study a subject, business problem or research question in depth and to research the issues surrounding the subject or background to the problem.
The module will equip the student with the relevant skills, knowledge and understanding to embark on their individual research project and they will be guided through the three options available to them to complete their dissertation:
- A desk based research project that could be set by an organisation or could be a subject of the student's choice
- A project that involves collection of primary data from within an organisation or based on lab and/or field experiments
- A full professional placement within an organisation during which time they will complete a project as part of their role in agreement with the organisation (subject to a suitable placement position being obtained) Students will achieve a high level of understanding in the subject area and produce a written thesis or project report which will discuss this research in depth and with rigour.

The aims of this module are to:
- Equip students with the necessary academic insights about how organisations (firms) design and position their products in the market
- Introduce students to a systematic way of thinking about developing marketing strategies
- Familiarise students with current advanced practices in marketing strategy
- Help students develop their analytical and problem-solving skills in marketing.

Principles of Data Science
The aims of this module are to:
- Introduce students to the concepts of data science and their use in Data Analytics Systems.
- Enable them to gain theoretical and practical experience in simulating complex data systems involved in a variety of industries including, smart digital systems, Internet of Things, financial industries, and entertainment industries.
Design Practices in Digital Industries
The aims of this module are to:
- Introduce students to an immersive, human-centered, prototype-driven process for innovation that can be applied to a digital product and service design
- Enhance students¿ capacity to think innovatively, create ideas rapidly, and actualize concept and ideas systematically in a competitive global digital market
- Equip students with essential methods and skills for creative resolution of problems through a series of group activities
Digital Media Audiences and Markets
The aim of this module is to:
- introduce students to the major issues related to users¿ engagement with digital media. The module examines the evolution of the interactions of audiences with digital media; characteristics of digital media markets; implications of new digital media platforms on the experience of audiences and the associated businesses. Case studies will also be presented.
Information Management
The aims of this module are to:
- Study the information management principles, practices and technologies in different organisations to manage rapidly expanding data assets for business intelligence while complying with data regulations.
- Provide the students with the fundamentals of Internet and communication systems to understand data management systems architecture.
- Introduce them to the important topics related to information management such as ethics, governance, storage, architecture, interoperability, quality, security and big data.
Introduction to Digital Technologies
The aims of this module is to:
provide students with an overview of the digital technologies and their associated challenges. Students will be introduced to the digital media processing concepts (image, video, audio), media applications, networks and quality measurement, cloud technologies and Internet of Things (IoT). As such, it is suitable for students to study this module to broaden their general knowledge of the latest technological advances in various segments of digital technologies.
